Diana Zic

Diana has always been an active and health conscious person. She's been taking group fitness classes at the gym for over ten years, participates in local 5 and 8K runs, and you may see her cycling the city or even just taking her dog for a long walk as an easy day off. After a lower back injury occurred in 2007, she decided to try a yoga class. She soon realized she was missing an integral part in her daily regimen: yoga! She found yoga eased her body aches as well as her racing mind. Over the last ten years, she has practiced Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Hot Power, Restorative, Yinyoga and Forrest Yoga.

In 2011, she decided she wanted to learn more about this transformational experience and hoped to share it with others. She completed her 200 hour certified yoga teacher training program at Equinox in its Pure Yoga program. Thereafter, she began teaching part-time in office environment, gyms and private classes. In September 2015, she decided to leave her paralegal career behind to pursue yoga instructing full-time. She continues to broaden her yoga education by attending various trainings and workshops totaling 136 continuing education hours. She is currently enrolled in The Institute for Intregrated Nutrition Program to become a health coach and plans to integrate both her passion for yoga and nutrition.

Diana teaches a slower flowing Vinyasa Yoga classes which encourages her students to find what works best for their bodies while using conscious-controlled breathing techniques to flow through her sequence. Diana believes yoga can help everyone to become more familiar with their body and mind while getting closer to total well being.
