Tony Cianflone

Tony, the creator of Tactical Fighting Systems, currently works as a Chicago Police Officer and has 26 years of law enforcement experience, including 24 years with the Chicago Police Department and 2 years with the Cook County Department of Corrections. Tony has over 30 years of martial arts experience and is a second degree black belt in Hapkido. He has also trained in several other martial arts styles, including krav maga, wing chun, and jiu jitsu, and is a certified Krav Maga Force Training (LEO) Instructor, as well as a certified krav maga instructor. Tony firmly believes that in the world today where violence has become the norm, people need to take control of their lives and safety and be prepared to defend themselves in any situation. Using a combination of martial arts styles, mental strength, and confidence is the key to confusing and defeating a violent attacker. Combatives win fights!

  • 360 Combatives

  • Krav Maga- Beginners/intermediate (Levels 1 & 2)

  • Krav Maga - Beginners (Level 1)

  • Krav Maga - All Levels ( Levels 1-5)

  • Defence Lab/DNA Fight Science (Year 1 & 2)

  • Combat F.I.T. (Fight Intense Training)

  • Krav Maga - Beginners (Level 1)

  • Krav Maga-Levels 2, 3 and 4
  • Students must bring shin guards, 16 oz boxing gloves, mouth guards, and groin protection to class.

  • Improvised Weapons (Women's Workshop)
  • Learning to use items, not designed as weapons, as a weapons during an attack. Improvised weapons can be something already in your possession, such as a purse or cellphone, or something that you have found on the street, such as a rock, stick or bottle.  
     
    The entire Women's Self-defense Workshop Series will repeat several times throughout the year, giving participants an opportunity to repeat a topic and learn new material.

    Preregistration is required.
     

  • StrikeFit (Heavy Bag)
  • StrikeFit is a kickboxing heavy bag workout that involves proper striking to a heavy bag, focus mitts, and thai pads and is supplemented with strength training, body weight exercises, plyometrics, and mobility work. Not only will you learn real striking and real striking combos, but you will burn lots of calories, get in shape, and have fun doing it.

  • Combatives (Women's Workshop)
  • Learn the fundamental combatives utilized in krav maga.
     
    Participants will learn some of the following combatives:
    -palm heels,
    -punches
    -knee strikes
    -elbows
    -basic kicks.
     
    Students will also learn how to generate power and combine combatives effectively. 
     
    The entire Women's Self-defense Workshop Series will repeat several times throughout the year, giving participants an opportunity to repeat a topic and learn new material. 

    Preregistration is required.

  • Chokings and Muggings (Women's Workshop)
  • Learning to defend against a variety of choking attacks, as well as bear hugs and other mugging situations.
     
    Participants will learn some of the following defense:
    -Choke from the front-2 handed pluck
    -Choke from the front-1 handed pluck
    -Choke from the side
    -Choke from behind
    -Bearhug from the front (arms trapped and arms free)
    -Bearhug from behind (arms trapped and arms free)
     
    The entire Women's Self-defense Workshop Series will repeat several times throughout the year, giving participants an opportunity to repeat a topic and learn new material.
